The Fine & Country Foundation is thrilled to announce another successful Carols by Candlelight Concert, held in collaboration with King's College Cambridge on Sunday, 8th December. For many the concert has become a firm favourite annual fixture, and the kick start to their festive celebrations. Held in the iconic King’s College Chapel, the event is an opportunity to see in the Christmas season with loved ones, while giving back to the local community. This year’s event raised £20,698 in support of charities combatting homelessness and poverty in the Cambridgeshire region.
The Carols Concert is one of The Foundation’s most successful and well supported yearly fundraising events, with a near capacity attendance each year. The enchanting evening brings together Fine & Country employees, clientele, local residents, and families of King's College students, all uniting in the spirit of giving.
The event's proceeds will be distributed among four deserving charities: Emmaus Cambridge, Jimmy's Cambridge, Wintercomfort, and Cambridge Cyrenians. These organisations play a crucial role in providing vital services to homeless individuals, making a meaningful impact on their lives.
The historic and awe-inspiring King’s College Cambridge has served as the ideal backdrop for Carols Concerts for the several years and greatly adds to the atmosphere of the event. The carols were led by the King's Voices, the mixed choir of King's College, whose renditions of the beloved carols filled the chapel with holiday warmth, inviting all in attendance to celebrate in the spirit of community and compassion.
Jon Cooke, Trustee of the Fine & Country Foundation, highlighted the significant impact of the annual Carols by Candlelight Concert, stating, "Through the support of the Fine & Country network and the public, The Foundation has been able to have a positive impact on many people's lives around the globe. The annual carol concert has been a massive contributor towards the money The Foundation has raised over the years and has helped support many charities and non-profit organisations in the work they are doing in their communities."
This year’s concert is especially meaningful, as the Foundation celebrates an incredible milestone of both raising and donating over £1 million since its inception in 2014, supporting charities dedicated to combating homelessness and poverty. The Foundation’s annual Carols by Candlelight has been a cornerstone of this success.
Tickets for this enchanting event were in high demand, and the Fine & Country Foundation encourages everyone to join them in making a positive difference in their community.
