King's College Carol Concert raises more than £15,000

King's College Carol Concert raises more than £15,000

Joy to the World! More than 500 attendees gathered in the historic Chapel at King’s College, Cambridge for a show-stopping carol concert, on Sunday 2nd December.

King’s College partnered with Fine & Country to host this spectacular event in support of The Fine & Country Foundation. The full ticket cost went to The Foundation to support our three chosen homeless charities in Cambridge: Emmaus Cambridge, Jimmy’s and Wintercomfort.

We are delighted to announce that the tickets, combined with donations on the day raised £15,486.62

Stewards welcomed guests into the Chapel and guided the VIP attendees to their reserved seats. Once everyone was settled, Dean Reverend Dr Stephen Cherry gave a few words to welcome everyone for the occasion.

The King’s Voices performed a wonderful rendition of ‘A Great and Might Wonder’ which was followed by a short bible reading from Luke 2: 1-7 by the Dean.

The carol performance involved audience participation for set verses and carols and remained choir-only for the remaining carols.

The night did not stop there. Following the carol performance, VIP guests were invited to the Provost’s Lodge for mulled wine and mince pies.

Neil Wise, Managing Director of Fine & Country Cambridge said: “We are delighted to have had the opportunity to work with King’s College who have been amazing at helping make this occasion a success. The response from our guests was overwhelming. We hope to see you back next year.”

David Lindley, CEO of Fine & Country and Trustee of The Fine & Country Foundation said: “We are overwhelmed with the support from our guests who made the event a huge success. We were delighted to have sold out tickets and to raise more than £15,000 for three incredible charities in Cambridge, through The Fine & Country Foundation. Thank you to the King’s Voices, King’s College, Neil and the Fine & Country team for a fantastic evening.”
