Coffee morning raises over £1,500 for homeless charities

On Thursday 26th October, nine Fine & Country branches from the UK and Jersey opened their doors and welcomed the public into their offices to enjoy baked treats and refreshments. The event was in support of The Foundation, Fine & Country’s charity, raising money to combat the causes of homelessness around the world.

Fine & Country Noth Cumbria, Newcastle, Diss, Cheam, Brighton, Exeter and Jersey along with the Fine & Country Head Office in London and the technology team in Derby, decorated their office spaces with brightly coloured balloons and specially-designed bunting to entice hungry passers-by in to spend their money in exchange for coffee and cake. From delicious Victoria sponges, to decadent blondies and divine cheese muffins, our Fine & Country staff members certainly flexed their baking prowess and the morning was a resounding success.

Coffee morning raises over £1,500 for homeless charities

Jon Cooke, Trustee of The Fine & Country Foundation and attendee of the Head Office event said: “I am delighted that this year’s Coffee Morning has raised a considerable amount of money to assist us in our mission to continue to support homeless charities around the world. This even has been a staple in The Foundation’s event calendar for many years and the proceeds received have helped us towards our target of reaching an incredible total of £1,000,000 in donations since The Foundation’s inception. This is an ambitious target that I am confident we can achieve with the encouragement and backing of our network and the public.”

Fine & Country Brighton Celebrate the coffee morning

Fine & Country Brighton and Hove raised a spectacular £420, this donation will go a long way towards The Foundation’s commitment to tackle homelessness. Dominique Scott, Associate Director at Fine & Country Brighton and Hove said, “We are delighted that in our 10th anniversary year, with the generous help of our clients, friends and neighbours, we’ve raised more money in 2023 than ever before for The Foundation. We love the event – connecting with people in our local community and it’s especially pleasing that we can then nominate our local homeless charities for the money to go to.  Our thanks go to all our star bakers for their time and the special ingredients that go into the event as a whole – care and compassion. Thank you everyone.”

Sophie Luhr, Marketing Executive at Fine & Country Newcastle and Northumberland commented, "Fine & Country Newcastle and Northumberland joined forces with The Rocking Horse Café, a well-known local coffee shop, to host a fundraising event for The Fine & Country Foundation Coffee Morning. With the generous support of local businesses, who graciously contributed some remarkable prizes for our raffle, we successfully raised £300 to help combat homelessness. The gathering brought together members of the local community, both current and past clients, providing a wonderful opportunity to unite in support of this worthy cause. "
