Apply for an Autumn Grant this October

As of October 1st, the Autumn Grant Programme is now open for applications, welcoming charities to apply for grants of up to £3,000. The Grant Programme is a key initiative in The Foundation’s calendar and a valuable opportunity for local homeless charities to secure vital funding. In 2022, over £80,000 was awarded to charities in the UK and overseas through two rounds of the Grant Programme and this year we hope to exceed this total after 28 charities recieved over £45,000 between them in our Spring Grants.

Applying for a grant

In order to qualify for a grant, charities must be nominated by a Fine & Country agent. If you are a charity and would like to apply, find your local Fine & Country representative here.

The application form and any supporting documentation must be sent to grants@fineandcountry.com by 6pm (GMT) on 31st October. Applications submitted after this will not be accepted.

The Fine & Country Foundation Board will review all applications in November, when the successful charities will be announced, and funds transferred in December.

Tips for writing an application:

·        Be detailed – make it clear exactly where the funding will go and who it will support.

·        No overheads – applications where the funds will pay for utilities, salaries or running costs will not be considered.

·        Case studies – it isn’t compulsory to include supporting documentation, but case studies from similar projects can be powerful.

A Thank You

Here are some words from Winchester Beacon who we awarded £1,500 to in the Spring Grant Programme, earlier this year.

The funding from The Fine & Country Foundation is going towards essential building and refurbishment work of the bathroom facilities at the charity’s main site on Jewry Street in Winchester. The shower facilities, installed in 1995, have become outdated offering a lack of privacy to residents. The two cubicles are located in the men’s toilets and have only a curtain for privacy when getting undressed and showering which can leave residents feeling vulnerable.

The £1,500 will help towards the cost of installing eight individual bathroom pods which will enable residents to feel safe and secure when washing.

If you would like to find out more about the successes of the Grant Programme, please visit the Grant section of the website.

Thank you for your continued support, remember you can donate to The Foundation here.
